We are thrilled to announce the final results of the 2026 Buckendorf Senior State Championship, (the ICA's final tournament) held this past weekend!

It was a wonderful gathering of nine dedicated players, who came together for a weekend of thoughtful chess and camaraderie. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who traveled to join us, and to our Tournament Directors for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable event.

🥇 Grand Champion: Jeff S. Gamble
In a stunning performance, Jeff S. Gamble took 1st Place with a perfect score of 4/4!

- Performance: Jeff dominated the field, winning every single game to secure the title of 2026 Senior State Champion.
- 🌟 National Honor: As the winner, Jeff is officially named Idaho's Representative to the prestigious John T. Irwin National Tournament of Senior State Champions, to be held during the upcoming U.S. Open!
