Prizes: 1st place plaque, 1st-3rd place $300, $200, $100 & U1400 1st-3rd place $100, $75, $50.

Other: Chess sets and clocks provided. No Insufficient Losing Chances rule.

Byes: Maximum 1-half point bye in any round, must commit before round 2 is paired.

Ties: Solkoff, Cumulative, Cumulative Opposition, Mod. Med.

How Payouts Work:

  • Quarterly Prizes: At the end of each quarter, 20% of all registration fees collected go to the Top 3 point-getters of that quarter.
  • Annual Grand Prize: An additional 20% of total annual registration fees is held as a year-end bonus pool.
  • Year-End Winners: At the conclusion of the year, the Top 5 point-getters across the entire year will share this Annual Prize Pool.
    • Note: Top performers can win both their Quarterly prizes AND a share of the Annual bonus!
  • Eligibility: To be eligible for any prize payouts, players must be current ICN Members.

The Idaho Chess Network is excited to offer a one-week Online Beginner Chess Camp designed for both adults and kids who are new to chess or just beginning their tournament journey.
Whether you have only recently learned how the pieces move or have played in a few tournaments and are still finding your footing, this camp is built to help you grow your confidence and understanding of the game. There will be something valuable for everyone who is just starting out in chess.
Instructor: Idaho State Champion Josh Price
Format: Online via Zoom and Chess.com
Dates: July 20–24, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM (Mountain Time)
Entry Fee: $75 for the week

9:00–10:00 AM – Instruction
10:00–11:30 AM – Competitive games, game analysis, and drill implementation

Adult Summer Chess Camp
The Idaho Chess Network is proud to offer the 2026 Adult Summer Chess Camp, a five-night program designed for adult players looking to compete, improve, and connect with Idaho’s chess community.
Location:  CWI Pintail Bldg: 1360 S Eagle Flight Way, Boise, ID 83709
Dates: August 10–14, 2026
Entry Fee: $150
ICN Membership: Required
Camp Schedule
6:00 PM – Check-in
6:30–7:30 PM – Class Instruction
7:30–8:30 PM – USCF-Rated Games (G/30; d5)
8:30–9:00 PM – Game Analysis
Camp Structure
Players will be divided into sections based on their USCF rating:
1200 USCF and Above: Instruction led by Idaho State Champion Josh Price
Under 1200 USCF: Instruction led by National Master Makaio Krienke
Additional Information
USCF-rated games will be held each evening following instruction.
An active ICN membership is required to participate.
Space is limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
