🌟 Immediate Leadership Opportunities
To ensure our growth is balanced and representative across the state, we are seeking dedicated leaders for the following key positions:
1. Vice President
- Role: Work closely with the Board to oversee daily operations, coordinate committees, and step in to lead when needed.
- Ideal Candidate: Someone with strong organizational skills and a vision for the future of Idaho chess.
2. Trustee – Southern Region
- Role: Represent the interests of chess players and clubs in Southern Idaho. Act as the primary liaison for local events and gather feedback from the community.
- Ideal Candidate: A resident of Southern Idaho with strong connections to local clubs or schools.
3. Trustee – Eastern Region
- Role: Represent the interests of chess players and clubs in Eastern Idaho. Help expand our tournament footprint into new communities in this region.
- Ideal Candidate: A resident of Eastern Idaho passionate about bringing competitive chess to rural and urban areas alike.
📢 Specialized Staff Coordinator Roles
We are looking for passionate individuals to lead specific initiatives and drive our mission forward in these key areas:
- Scholastic Coordinator: Lead our efforts to bring chess to schools, develop curriculum support, and organize scholastic tournaments. Help the next generation of players discover the game.
- Women's Coordinator: Foster an inclusive environment for female players, organize women-only events, and promote diversity and participation across all age groups.
- Social Media Coordinator: Manage our online presence, share tournament results, highlight player stories, and grow our community on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Education Coordinator: Develop workshops, coach training programs, and educational resources for players, parents, and teachers of all skill levels.

Not ready for a leadership role? We still need your help! Volunteers are the backbone of our events.
- Event Support: Set up boards, manage clocks, check in players, and keep tournaments running smoothly.
